DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVES

Department Representatives are the contact person between their department and the GSA. Representatives will be asked to attend quarterly meetings, disseminate information about GSA events and initiatives to their departments, and to give the GSA feedback about departmental issues. This is a great way to get involved and to make sure your department's voice is heard in the university. We would like to have one representative from every department. If you are interested in volunteering to be your department representative, please email Kate Lockwood.

Mather Pavilion Outreach
Date: Ongoing

Come and volunteer for the Mather Pavilion Outreach! Recognized as the best new service event last year at Northwestern, graduate students from all backgrounds present their research to residents at Mather Pavilion! The presentations are usually 15-20 minutes, and students can often chat with the residents afterwards. Not only do you benefit from polishing your presentation skills, but Evanston residents get to learn about the cutting-edge research that takes place right here at Northwestern. It's just one of the ways that GSA is trying to build stronger ties with the Evanston community. If you're interested, please email Patrick Ryan atpryan@u.northwestern.edu. Let's make a difference!

NAA Clubs
Your Northwestern University community expands beyond the grounds of the Evanston and Chicago Campuses. The NAA supports an active base of NU Alumni Clubs internationally. There are more than 60 NAA Clubs, with locations in over 40 US cities and abroad. Some clubs offer first-year free membership. Connect with Alumni living in your area or chat with Alumni who share your passion. Click here for more information about joining the NAA Local, National, and International Clubs. If you are staying in Chicago please be sure to join the Northwestern Club of Chicago free for the first year. Joining a club represents one of the best ways for NU alumni to meet and connect with each other. There are over 60,000 NU alumni living around Chicago and the Board of the club would like to invite all the graduates of the University to join and participate in the club.
