SPIE/Photonics Club Intro Meeting

Join SPIE/Photonics Club for an introductory meeting with pizza and soda! SPIE is an international society advancing an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of "photonics". You can find more details in the website http://spie.org/ SPIE is one of the principal society for engineers and scientists whose research are related to photonics. Applied Research Day
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 13th

Location: Technological Institute, Evanston Campus
Applied Research Day is a poster forum that focuses on the importance of translational research. This is a unique opportunity to learn to present to a non-technical audience and to consider the broader context of taking research beyond the lab bench. Additionally, over $1000 is available in cash prizes to be awarded to outstanding poster presenters, as is the opportunity to meet with a venture capitalist .
Research that has already been publicly disclosed is appropriate, as is new research. There is still time to submit abstracts. Registration is open at http://ard.innuvation.org/ ; if you have any questions, please e-mail Marc Lim at appliedresearchday@gmail.com.
